Tenth Anniversary Reverse Car Drawing
The 10th Annual Reverse Car Drawing that benefits the Bestwick Foundation and PSU Coaches vs Cancer was held on September 17th at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. The “Gala of the Fall” was a huge success this year with 385 tickets being sold and grossing over $150,000 for helping local cancer fighters.
Each supporter who purchased a ticket was included in a chance to win a 2015 GT Coupe Special Edition Ford Mustang. This year’s winner was Michael Lynn. In addition to inclusion in the car drawing itself, all supporters in attendance were provided with signature drinks and a martini bar complete with ice sculptures, high end food from Bestwick Foundation co-founder and Catering with Style mastermind Dan Rallis, and quality entertainment from our traditional bagpipers, Tommy Wareham & The Intrigues, and the Penn State Blue Band.
To kick off the event, co-host PSU Basketball Coach Patrick Chambers flew in on a helicopter with Bestwick Foundation co-founder Steve Greer and cancer survivor Chris Rallis. The helicopter landed on the field amongst the Penn State Blue Band drawing cheers from the excited crowd of supporters. In addition to the support and presence from Penn State Basketball Coaches, Penn State Hockey Coaches, and co-host Jamie Bestwick himself, there were also several special guest cancer survivors in attendance. With such tremendous community involvement and support for local fundraising events such as this, we can really make a positive impact on helping cancer victims and their families. Thank you to all of the 2015 sponsors and supporters!!
